Association of Chemical Engineers of Serbia had been founded in 1953 as Yugoslav Association of Chemists and Chemical Engineers of Yugoslavia,
an association of all member societies of Federal People Republic of Yugoslavia.

Since June 17th, 2003, by decission of General Assembly, name Association of Chemical Engineers of Serbia has been adopted.
